ASHLAND DAM PARK CAMPGROUND
Operated by Thorsby & District Fish & Game Association (Trout stocked by SRD) campground with 23 Sites, no hook-ups. West of Warburg on Hwy 39 for 4.5 km, south on RR 34 for 6 km, follow signs. Fishing (no gas motors allowed). Firepits, firewood available for $5 or bring your own. Picnic tables, Wheelchair accessible washrooms. Playground. No quads please. Fresh tested well water. No showers.

BRAZEAU RESERVOIR RECREATION AREA CAMPGROUNDS
The Brazeau Reservoir Recreation Area Campgrounds consist of four separate individual and group site campgrounds and two separate bodies of water: the Reservoir and the Canal. The largest individual campground is located at the Reservoir Loop Campgrounds by the Brazeau Dam. There are 33 individual sites as well as a large overflow overlooking the reservoir. Loop 3 Group site and Loop 4 Group Sites are also located in this area. All this area is surrounded by one of Alberta's best beaches and many ATV trails.
The West Canal Campground with 18 individual sites is located on the Canal. It is very popular among the campers fishing for Northern Pike and wanting to enjoy a sense of quiet wilderness. The East Canal Group Site also located on the Canal at the far east end (15km from the Dam) near the powerhouse generating station.
The Brazeau Group Site overlooking the Reservoir has an enclosed log cookshack with a fireplace. There is access to power, a barbecue pit with overhead canopy, two horseshoe pits, beach volleyball court, a soccer sized grass field and enough parking for
20 - 25 RV units.

37 sites - Located on 47th Street next to the Breton Golf Course. Developed in the summer of 1999. Power, water and showers. Sani dump and public washrooms are available. CYNTHIA RV PARK & CAMPGROUND
Privately owned Alberta approved campsite located in the Hamlet of Cynthia. 52 sites located behind community hall one block north and one block east of race track gas station. 22 fully serviced, power available all year round. DRAYTON VALLEY RV PARK
Located in the Lions West Valley Park (next to the Drayton Valley Omniplex) with direct access from Highway 22. Has 22 fully serviced sites. Hookups include water, sewer and power. All sites complete with tables and firepits. Heated washrooms complete with showers. Trailer sani-dump station located within the Lions West Valley Park. EAGLE POINT PROVINCIAL PARK
Here are answers to some Frequently asked Questions about the new Eagle Point Provincial Park and the Blue Rapids Provincial Recreation Area.
Where will the use of off-highway vehicles (quads, snowmobiles) be permitted?
Motorized recreation is no longer permitted within Eagle Point Provincial Park.
Until designated trails are properly identified and developed in Blue Rapids Provincial Recreation Area, off-highway vehicle users may continue to use existing access routes on the east side of the river.
Users should continue to use care and respect in their choice of routes to prevent negative impacts in the recreation area.
Users are reminded that riding on private property is trespassing.
Where can I camp in the two new parks?
Random camping is no longer permitted in Eagle Point or Blue Rapids.
The public are encouraged to camp at designated campsites, e.g.. Willey West Campground.
This park can accommodate a maximum of 30 units. The Park is located 4.8 km north of Hwy 621 on Range Road 85. Cook House, wood shed (wood provided), two poles with 10 electrical outlets each, non-portable water (but not on each site), two out-houses (toilet paper provided), playground, volleyball court, and pedestrian access to Pembina River. This private campground may be rented for group functions at a cost of $200 per weekend, $100 per week day (with a $150.00 deposit) a 3 day weekend at a cost of $250, and $600 for a full week. Any persons or groups wishing to rent the facility must sign an agreement, with proof of identification, and pick up a key at the County office during regular office hours. The park will be rented "as is" with the municipality providing minimal items such as firewood. ELK RIVER PROVINCIAL RECREATION AREA
16 sites. 17 km SW of Lodgepole on Sec. Hwy. 620, then 47 km W on the Elk River Rd. Tiered & riverside sites.Horseback riding available on undeveloped trails only. Equestrian use is not permitted within the recreational area. Off-Highway Vehicles & equestrian staging area. OHV Offloading within the campground and travel to trails from campsite prohibited. KAYSON RV PARK
30 fully serviced winterized sites and 14 power only sites, east on Highway 22 after the bridge turn right onto the Buck Creek road, Go 6 Km - site is on the left hand side. LOUIE LAKE LTD. RV PARK
Owned and operated by John Jacobson this RV Park is new to the area and offers 11 full service sites open year round. Cost $25/night or $550/month plus $200 for utilities. Location: Half way between Violet Grove and Lodgepole. From HWY 22 turn west on HWY 620, travel 16 km west to RR 90, go 2.6 km and Louie Lake Campground will be on the left. MODESTE CREEK PARK
31 sites, water available but not at each site, no power hook ups or showers. Directions: 1 km north of Hwy 39 on RR 52, go west on Township Rd. 490A, then 1 km. Cook house (electrical outlet), wood shed (wood provided), non-potable water available (but not at each site), one out-house (toiler paper provided), and pedestrian access to Modeste Creek. Can accommodate groups (for those callers who missed Easyford Park). Daily rates are $100, weekends $200, 2 day long weekend @250, and for a full week the rate is $600.00 there is also a $150 damage deposit.
