BRAZEAU RESERVOIR RECREATION AREA CAMPGROUNDS          RVCamping  Fishing 
The Brazeau Reservoir Recreation Area Campgrounds consist of four separate individual and group site campgrounds and two separate bodies of water: the Reservoir and the Canal. The largest individual campground is located at the Reservoir Loop Campgrounds by the Brazeau Dam. There are 33 individual sites as well as a large overflow overlooking the reservoir. Loop 3 Group site and Loop 4 Group Sites are also located in this area. All this area is surrounded by one of Alberta's best beaches and many ATV trails.

The West Canal Campground with 18 individual sites is located on the Canal. It is very popular among the campers fishing for Northern Pike and wanting to enjoy a sense of quiet wilderness. The East Canal Group Site also located on the Canal at the far east end (15km from the Dam) near the powerhouse generating station.

The Brazeau Group Site overlooking the Reservoir has an enclosed log cookshack with a fireplace. There is access to power, a barbecue pit with overhead canopy, two horseshoe pits, beach volleyball court, a soccer sized grass field and enough parking for 20 - 25 RV units.

DRAYTON VALLEY RV PARK\


Located in the Lions West Valley Park (next to the Drayton Valley Omniplex) with direct access from Highway 22. Has 22 fully serviced sites. Hookups include water, sewer and power. All sites complete with tables and firepits. Heated washrooms complete with showers. Trailer sani-dump station located within the Lions West Valley Park. The Park also includes a soccer field and numerous ball diamonds. For more information, call 780-514-2200.

EAGLE POINT PROVINCIAL PARK
Here are answers to some Frequently asked Questions about the new Eagle Point Provincial Park and the Blue Rapids Provincial Recreation Area.

Where will the use of off-highway vehicles (quads, snowmobiles) be permitted?

  • Motorized recreation is no longer permitted within Eagle Point Provincial Park.
  • Until designated trails are properly identified and developed in Blue Rapids Provincial Recreation Area, off-highway vehicle users may continue to use existing access routes on the east side of the river.
  • Users should continue to use care and respect in their choice of routes to prevent negative impacts in the recreation area.
  • Users are reminded that riding on private property is trespassing.

Where can I camp in the two new parks?

  • Random camping is no longer permitted in Eagle Point or Blue Rapids.
  • The public are encouraged to camp at designated campsites, e.g.. Willey West Campground.

EASYFORD PARK
Camp kitchen, firepits, firewood, situated along the Pembina River. This private campground may be rented for group functions at a cost of $200 per weekend, $100 per week day (with a $150.00 deposit). This includes three day weekends at the same price. Any persons or groups wishing to rent the facility must sign an agreement, with proof of identification, and pick up a key at the County office during regular office hours. The park will be rented "as is" with the municipality providing minimal items such as firewood. For more information, call 780-542-7777.

ELK RIVER PROVINCIAL RECREATION AREA
16 sites. 17 km SW of Lodgepole on Sec. Hwy. 620, then 47 km W on the Elk River Rd. Tiered & riverside sites. Off-Highway Vehicles & equestrian staging area. Horseshoe pits. Interpretive trails. For more information, call 780-865-2154.

KAYSON RV PARK

MODESTE CREEK PARK
31 sites, water available but not at each site, no power hook ups or showers. Directions: 1 km north of Hwy 39 on RR 52, go west on Township Rd. 490A, then 1 km. PIH-TWE-KWE
32 Sites, across the highway from the Drayton Valley Golf Course, beside the driving range. Self registration, no reservations, firepits/firewood, camp kitchen, day use/group area, playground.

VIOLET GROVE RV PARK
21 Sites, fully serviced. Catering to travellers working in the oil & gas and forestry service industries, a favorite of crews and consultants. Shower house currently under construction. WILLEY WEST PARK
